The intuitive creative process is all about letting go of what is so that you can see what can be. Practicing this allows a flow of creative energy, a true expression of who I am in a given moment, pulling me to the next color, the next brush stroke, the next mark or shape.
As in life, working through discomfort or turmoil and celebrating what I am loving in the moment allows each layer of paint to inform what comes next. Paintings can unfurl quickly, while others take years of layers before the composition and expression feels complete.
There are no “mistakes,” just momentum toward authentic expression. Every painting that emerges from this intuitive creative process is an opportunity to grow, reflect and express.
